This Privacy Policy explains how Expense Tracker (“the app”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information — When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and a Google account identifier. This is used to sign you in and to identify your household.
• Financial entries you create — The income and expense records you enter (amount, category, date, and optional note), plus the categories and currency you configure.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, device identifiers for advertising, or any data beyond what is described above. The app contains no advertising.

How we use your information

• To provide the core service: recording, displaying, and syncing your income and expenses.
• To keep your data in sync across your devices and with household members you add.
• To generate the reports and charts you request.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore), operated by Google. Data is encrypted in transit. Google processes this data on our behalf as our backend provider; see Google’s Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.

How your data is shared

• We do not sell your data.
• Your household data is shared only with the members you invite to your household.
• Data is processed by Google Firebase solely to operate the app.
• We may disclose information if required by law.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the email below, and we will delete it from our systems.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
